ELEGIBILITY CRITERIA

a) The candidates should be Indian National and should satisfy local/non-local status requirements laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations of Admission) Order, 1974 as amended upto date (as per G.O.Ms.No.25, dt :19-03-2004 & G.O.Ms.No.108, Higher Education Department, dated 30-07-2005 and its amendments).
b) The Candidate other then Indian Nationals should satisfy the rules of the Universities concerned.
c) A pass (or) appearance at the final year examinations of Bachelor's Degree (Except BOL and BFA) of any University in Andhra Pradesh or Any other University Recognized as equivalent thereto.
d) The candidate seeking admission into MBA course should have passed a Bachelor's Degree Examination of not less then three years duration from any recognized University or equivalent thereof basides passing SSC or equivalent examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects.
e) The candidate seeking admission into MCA course should have passed a Bachelor's Degree Examination or not less than three years duration in any discipline with Mathematics at 10+2 level (or) should have passed BAchelor's Degree Examination of not less than 3 years duration in any discipline with Mathematics as one of the subjects.
f) The candidates who are appearing for the final year degree examination shall also be eligible to appear for ICET-2009
g) Admission into any college depends onits Recognition/Affiliation by the Statutory Bodies.
h) Qualifying marks in ICET-2009 is 25% and no minimum marks prescribed for SC/ST candidates.

Mere qualification in the entrance test does not entitle a candidate to have been admitted into MBA/MCA COURSE unless the candidate :

(i) appears before the on-line counseling at any of the Counseling Centres notified.
(ii) applies in response to the admission notification issued by the authority concerned (for distance mode)
satisfies the eligibility conditions of admission stipulated by the authority concerned.

Prescribed application form for the entrance test together with instructions booklet can be obrained an person on payment of Rs.250/- in cash at (i) all the Head Post Offices in A.P. , (ii) all the Post Offices located on the University campuses, and (iii) the e-seva centres in Andhra Pradesh.

SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORMS

Duly filled-in application forms (placed in the envelope supplied) may be submitted along with relevant documents by paying postal charges through the Head Post Office to The Convener, ICET- 2009, Andhra University College of Engineering, Visakhapatnam - 530 003 (A.P.) India on or before 28-03-2009 upto 5.00 pm. The application forms may also be submitted on or before.

EAMCET - 2009 Notification

1. Entrance Test:

1.1 A Commom Entrance Test, designed as Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test-2009(EMCET-2009) of Andhra Pradesh will be conducted(as per G.O.Ms.No 16 Edn. ,(EC) Department Dt:25/2/2004 and its amendments) by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad for entry into the the first year of the following professional courses offered for the academic year 2009-2010 in the state of Andhra Pradesh
a) BE/B.Tech courses
b) B.V.Sc and A.H/B.Sc (Ag)/B.Sc(Hort)/B.F.Sc/B.Tech (FS&T)/B.Sc(CA&BM) courses
c. MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS/BNYS courses
d.B. Pharm/B.Tech (Bio-technology) and Phram-D(Doctor of Pharmacy) courses

2. Eligibility
2.1 The minimum qualification to appear for EMCET - 2009 is
a) A pass in Intermediate Examination or appearance at 2nd year Intermediate (10 + 2 pattern) conducted by the A.P.Board of Intermediate Education , with appropriate optional subjects or its equivalent thereto.
c) A pass at Diploma examination or appearance at final year Diploma Examination in Engineering conducted by the State Board of Techical Education and Training, A.P or its equivalent thereto. Diploma candidates are eligible to apply for B.E/B.Tech/B.Pharm courses only. Diploma in Pharmacy are eligible to apply for Pharm-D course.
2.2 In case of such students who appear for the entrance test, pending result of their qualifying examination , their entry shall be subject to their securing pass in the said qualifying examination.
2.3 Candidates should belongs to the state of Andhra Pradesh as defined in the A.P. Educational Institutions(regulation for admission) order 1974 and its amendments (vide G.O.P.No. 646 dt: 10-7-79 of Education (w) Devlopment).

4. Requisition for the Applicationform:
4.1 Candidates with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry as optional subjects in their Intermediate or its equivalent course should submit "E" category application for Engineering (B.E/B.Tech.B.Tech (Sg.Engg) / B.Tech(Diaring)/ B.Tech (FS&T) (MPC) /B.Sc (CA&BM) (MPC) and B.Pharm (MPC), Pharm-D((MPC) courses.
4.2 Candidates with Biology, Physics, Chemistry as optional subjects in their Intermediate or its equivalent course should submit "AM" category application for Agriculture (B.V.Sc., and A.H/B.Sc (Sgr)/B.Sc(Hort)B.F.Sc/B.Tech (FS&T) (Bi.P.C)/B.Sc (CA&BM) (Bi.P.c)/ Medical (MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS/BHYS) and B.Pharm/ B.Tech (Bio-Technology)/Pharm-D(Bi.P.C) courses.
4.3 Eligible candidates who intend to seek admission to both the courses in 4.1 and 4.2 have to submit "E" and "AM" category applications.
4.4 Application form together with the enclosures including the "Instruction Booklet" can be had in person (not by post) on the payment of Rs. 250/- in cash (this ammount covers the cost of application , fee for entrance test , and towards service charges for post offices) AT ALL THE HEAD POST OFFICES AND ALL e-SEVA CENTERS within the state of Andhra Pradesh till 31.3.2009.

5. As per G.O.Ms.No 165 dated 06-09-2007 and G.O.Ms.No 8 (Amendment to the G.O.Ms.No 16) Higher Education Department, dated 27-01-2009, the candidates who have secured qualifying marks in EAMCET and candadates belonging to the categiry of Secheduled Caste and Schedule Tribe , for whom qualifying marks have not been prescribed, shall be assigned ranking in the order of merit on the basis of combined score obtained by giving 75% weightage to the marks secured in EAMCET and 25% weightage to the marks secured in relevant group subjects namely Mathematics or Biology , Physics , Chemistry , of the qualifying examination. However as per G.O.Ms.No 181 dated 21.05.2008 of Health Medical and Family Welfare (E1) Department for admission into MBBS/BDS course on the basis of Competitive entrance examination, a candidates for admission to those courses must have obtained not less than 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology taken together both at qualifying and EAMCET examination.. In respect of candidates belonging to SC/ST/BC must have obtained not less than 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology taken together both at qualifying and EAMCET examination.

EAMCET - 2009 application may be submited online or offline. For details refer to item VIII of "Instruction Booklet" for Engineering (E) and Agriculture and Medicine (AM) Categories of applications..

After submission the registration number for future reference is generated. The candidate has to download and take printout of filled in application and paste a colour photograph of size 3.5cm * 4.5cm at appropriate place in the application . 10. The late fee and online submission application fee must be in the form of Demand Draft on any nationalized bank payable at Hyderabad , in the favour of Secretary . Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education.

11. Filled in Application should be submitted to the Regional Coordinator in person as mentioned in the Instruction Booklet or to the Convener , EAMCET - 2009 , SIT Building, Sellar portion , JNT University Hyderabad, Kukatpally, Hyderabad-500085 by Regd. Post.

12. In their own interest , candidates are advised to submit the filled in application to the concerned regional co-ordinators in person only, or send it to the convener, EAMCET-2009 by regd. post well in advance, of the last date prescribed for submission of application without late fee to avoid delays. Convener shall not be responsbile for any postal delay or loss of application during transit.
